About the Main Street Cruisers
The Main Street Cruisers have performed at The Sands , Bethlehem
Casino, Mount Airy Casino, and The Mohegan Sun in Uncasville Ct.
The Concert Halls include, The Roxy Theater, The Sherman, The
Stabler Arena and The state Theater in Easton, Pa. The Bands They
have opened for include, The Vogue, Danny and the Juniors, The
Tokens, The Del Vikings and Bill Haley's Comets. The Resorts
include Mt. Laurel, Split Rock, and Caesars Paradise Stream. the
Clubs include, Illusions in NYC, The Whiskey Cafe, and Memory Town.
Fairs, City Festivals and Sporting Events include Easton's Heritage
Days, Musikfest, Das Awk Fescht, and special Appearances at the Iron
Pigs AAA Stadium, Coca Cola Park.
The Main Street Cruisers perform a high energy show featuring true
to the original versions of many Rock and Roll hits of the 50's and
60's. The group’s two
poodle
skirted female vocalists Jillian and Lynn keep the action flowing
with dance routines that have the crowd moving and harmonies that
make you believe you are listening to the original artists.
Mark dons a pair of Elvis shades and belts out Blue Suede Shoes
while bass player Bill and drummer "Surfer Boy" Kevin keeps the
rhythm section rocking. Don on Sax fills the stage with fun
songs such as Tequila and celebrity guest performers such as Lenny
Longo, lead vocalist and guitarist of Bill Haley's Comets, who works
with the group on a regular basis increase the Marquee value and
drawing power of the group.
Their 2 CD' which include many favorite classics including "Pretty
Woman", "Great Balls of Fire", "Blue Moon' and "Will You Love Me
Tomorrow', have had regular airplay on several Oldies Radio Shows
and are being played by many DJ's in place of the originals.
As their reputation has grown "The Main Street Cruisers", have
featured many celebrity guest artists. Regular Guest, Lenny
Longo who performs when not touring with "Bill Haley's Comets" sings
many hits of the Comets, including "Rock Around the Clock", "See Ya
Later Alligator", "Shake Rattle and Roll', and his personal
favorite, "Rock This Joint". The group has also feature other
artists such as, Jim Bense of Randy and the Rainbows, whose hit
"Denise" topped the charts at #1 in 1963, JT Carter of the Crests,
whose "Sixteen Candles" topped the charts in 1959 and Norman Wright
Jr, of the Del Vikings whose Doo Wop hit "Come Go With Me" charted
in the top 10 in 1956.
With their 50's style bowling shirts, poodle skirts, tux jackets,
dance routines and zany comedy The Main Street Cruisers truly take
you on a wild ride back to the 50's and 60's
